Trying to dye my jet black weave to a bright red color?

I bought number 1 color (jet black) 100% human virgin remy hair a while ago, and want to change the color to a bright red. Is it okay to bleach and dye the hair, or will it not take. The hair was pretty expensive so I dont want to buy another pack. Any suggestions? Thanks
