How to stop toddler from kicking the wall?

We have a 22 month old daughter who has recently started kicking her wall when she needs to go to bed. She not only kicks the wall but gets out of bed and kicks the door too and keeps us up all night. Last night was terrible, she was up from 3am kicking the door and wall so hard, her Father went into her room and gave her a tap on the bum. I tried to talk to her and sternly told her to not kick the wall, she didn't listen. It's now midday and time for her daytime nap and she's in her room and has been kicking for 30 minutes now. How can I get her to stop? I can't move the bed because she will just lie on the floor and kick. I am having another baby in 5 weeks time and need this sorted out before the new bub comes.
