I know I ask a lot of questions about my 01 Passat but....?

I've always owned a Chrysler product so I don't know much about VW's. I'm just wanting to know about these headlights on ny car. The 2001 Passat. How do I turn the daytime running lights off? Their isn't any point in them being on all of the time
