Dying hair extensions lighter?!?

Alright so i got hair extensions the clip in ones 100% remy human hair blah blah blah they were lighter before and i dyed them like a light brownish color but i kind of want them to be a blonde ash color so i wondering if i could dye them lighter i know they say you cant but does anyone know what happens when or if you do dye them lighter?! thank youuu.
