Do you have a separate playroom, or are most of your child's toys in his/her bedroom?

We turned our basement into a play room/family room, but some of their toys are in their bedrooms. There are no windows/doors in the basement, and all the damageable items (TV) are out of reach from my one year old. I prefer them playing down there than in their rooms, because when I need to do some things upstairs, I know the basement is completely child proofed.
